I can't decide which skeeves me out more:

a) that I sliced the tip of my right index finger open with the lid from the cat food can last night;

or b) that the wound is now covered by a Backyardigans Band-Aid brand adhesive bandage.

That Goldberry! Tell her to get her own food next time.

The Backgardigans makes being wounded cool.

HAhahahaha. Sorry about your finger. But I bet you can totally rock the Backyardigans Band-Aid! You can put on your Backyardigans t-shirt and your Backyardigans sandals. Oh, come on now, we BOTH know you have those...

It doesn't matter how you slice it, the tip of the finger is a bad place to slice. Depending how you did the slicing, the dignity occasionally gets hurt along with the finger. Now the Band-Aid thing falls on the dignity side of pain. There too, it is still perspective.

I guess that does it;
I am officially no longer a 'mother of a little one'. I had no idea who Backyardigans were. Sigh. They grow up too fast!!
I guess donning character band-aids is just a price of motherhood. (better than most)
I once had to interpret (sign language) with a Rescue Hero on my finger...but...children still grow up too fast. Maybe those those smiling CGI faces can help remind you to enjoy the 'little one' stage.

Too funny!

And all I can think of right now is that "skeeves me out" is now my new favorite phrase.

I tell you Kara: the next cat we get is going to have opposable thumbs.

The big bummer is that it's hard to type with a band-aid on your index fingertip. I got some writing done today, but I had to do a lot of backspacing and retyping. I hope this heals quickly.

"Skeeves me out" I've never heard that one before. Have to remember it.

Sorry to hear about your finger. Hope it heals fast.

You could take the big hammer approach and just get rid of the cat :-)

PS: Thanks for dropping in :-)

Speaking of doing lots of typing, how's the book coming? And remind me--when is your deadline? It's fast approaching, no?

Annette, the lots of typing was all book, all the time. It's coming along better than ever, and my deadline is Friday 7/6. I should make it no problem, knock on wood.

I like how Dawn said 'no matter how you slice it' and didn't even bat a virtual (or metaphorical) eye.

And I would totally wear Backyardigans.

Sorry about the cut but I'm laughing to myself right now about the bandaid! lol. Mine would be Dora however. My son (who is 8) loved the Backyardigans until last year although I think he'd deny it on pain of death:)

Oh no, tip of the finger is the worst! Hope that cat does get an opposable thumb.

Cartoon bandaids are banned from our home. SOMEBODY has a hard time distinguishing them from stickers.
