If you are dropping by from the 5 Minutes for Mom Blog Party, welcome! It's nice to meet you! With five lively kids and a crazy cat, Patrick and I feel like we live in a perpetual party. The photo above is from a couple of summers ago (we're bad about group pictures), but you get the general idea.
I'm a writer just coming back from several years of maternity leave. I had a YA novel, Shannon's Mirror, published when my oldest was a baby. Twelve years later, I feel like I have finally paid down the sleep debt enough to spare sufficient mental energy for writing. Look here at a couple of things I did in the meantime.)
I am working on two manuscripts at the moment: ZF-360, a modern fantasy novel, and The Holly Place, a ghost story of sorts. Knitting friends of mine have meters posted on their blogs showing the progress of their current projects; maybe I should find something like that for my books.
I'm celebrating the blog party by indulging the big boys and myself (the three littles are in bed, and P is driving home from the City) in one of our favorite treats: Sheer Bliss Pomegranate/Dark Chocolate Ice Cream Bars. Delish; why don't you pop down to your local grocery and see if they can order you some?
Please leave a comment so that I can return the visit. Enjoy!

Hi! Thanks for stopping in at my blog earlier...it's good to know that there are others out there in this mom/writing boat. And, of course, Dr. Seuss fans. :) You have a beautiful family...I scrolled through a few of your posts and just have to say congrats for the OT read-through!I'm the oldest of four kids and my dad's a preacher - while I was growing up, he'd try so hard to keep our family devotional times in some sort of order...but we'd usually end up sidetracked by something. So I definitely know what an effort is and I think it's great that you accomplished such a big goal. I'm sure your kids are never going to forget the experience. Anyway - hope you have a great night! ~Christie
Pomegranite dark chocolate ice cream bars??!! Holy ice cream, batman! That sounds incredible!!
Thanks for visiting my blog, nice to meet you! I hope to swing by again sometime soon!
Oh, I forgot to mention I LOVE the title of your blog!! "Novembrance" has a sweet, nostalgic ring to it.
Great party! Nice to meet you!

Love the diversity of your blog. Anything with knitting and fries in one spot is a winner with me. Thanks for coming to visit me.
Okay so I knew nothing about this blog party. Why wasn't I invited? Wait, maybe I was and I just misplace the invitation under all this laundry. Yeah, that's it.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I enjoyed reading up a bit on your life and family. I especially loved your list of favorite music in your profile. So eclectic!
Sheer Bliss Pomegrante & Dark Chocolate Ice Cream? Just reading it is an indulgence! Having fun partying with you!
might be leaving this comment twice...
Pomegrantate dark chocolate icecream? That's an indulgence just reading it!
Did you say ice cream bars??? Love 'em! I'm part of the blog party. I'm having so much fun seeing everyone's sites. Drop in and check mine out if you can!
When I saw your post title, I had to stop and play a little air guitar....
Isn't this party thing fun?!
Please continue to enjoy the ice cream bars, I'm visiting this morning in my pj's with a cup of coffee in hand.
Great Bill and Ted reference in the title of your post. I have to admit, I got my girls hooked on Bill and Ted, and now they tell everyone Be Excellent to each other, and.....
Party On Dude!
Great place you have here, please feel free to come visit mine.
Swinging in for the Ultimate blog party. Nice to meet ya.
PARTY ON!!!
My first party favor giveaway has begun. Come over when ya get a chance.
That is so great that you find an outlet in writing. You should have a meter showing the progress--that's a great idea!
I'll have to try the ice cream bars, not that I need the calories. I'm a big fan of pomegranate but I've never had it with dark chocolate!
I SO did not need to learn about that ice cream! At least the stores where I can get them are only near my sister in law, so it would only happen a couple of times a year!
Great party, thanks for the info on the new obsession! Stop by my blog and maybe pick up a new obsession for your family, too!
Hello there! Thought I would pop in! Hope you are enjoying the party! huggles!
Hi! Loved visiting your site! Those cookies look SOOOO good! Drop by if you get a chance!
Jess
Oh, where do I start? Your comment on my blog party post made me think maybe we are kindred spirits. Then I come over here and you are making chocolate cookies (are you posting the recipe?) and knitting stuff. Of course, I usually only knit things like blankets because I can't be bothered with guaging, but I can certainly appreciate a good hand knit sweater. Your work is lovely!
Of course, I think you are much more well-read that I, but, uh, that's not really saying much. It's okay though, I won't hold it against you.
I may be no match for your reading, but I might be able to go head to head with you in a "Princess Bride" quote contest. BRING IT ON!
And you write. I'm jealoussssss.
I will be back. Thanks for stopping by my place. And for being a geek. I like geeks.
;)
Pezmama, it's inconceivable! We must have been separated at birth; I knew this the minute I started reading your blog, but I was too chicken to say so. Since you asked so nicely (as did jess), I'll post the chocolate cookie recipe.
Hi! Thanks for stopping by my spot. I love the idea of this party, otherwise I would've missed some great blogs...you're included!
Thanks for swinging by my party! It's nice to meet another person who knows about SPD, no exlpanation required.
You have a lovely family and a great blog - with some seriously dangerous recipes!:)
Thanks for the party invite! Looking forward to getting to know you.
