I apologize. I'm leaving faithful readers hanging again. But the end to my Soap Opera Sunday series "Clever Trevor" has been tricky to get just right, and it's not there yet. So today, I offer you instead a summary of a scene that occurred here just this morning.
Tess (coloring at the table, wanting to label the picture she's just drawn): Remind me how to spell 'mom?'

Me (normally would ask her to sound it out, but momentarily distracted while carefully folding egg whites into cake batter): M-O-M.

Tess (speaking as she writes): N...O. (surveys work, smiles happily with 'aha' moment): Oh, that makes sense!

Me: No! I mean....(Bows head in defeat.)

LOL... good luck on the story. I was able to get my "300" piece done today, but I was unhappy last week and probably shouldn't have posted what I did.

I'm waiting patiently for the final part!

I hate when that happens. I still have a couple that have trouble with spelling but one day they will be older and will be using spell check.

Oh yeah, I'm giggling.

I dropped by to remind:

There are 23 days left and counting, ladies . . . if you have the most wonderful husband in the world, you need to nominated him!

I know there are other wonderful husbands out there. Until midnight November 30, 2007 I will be taking nominations via this email address ces@candacesalima.com. The six finalists will be posted, please send a picture with the nomination, on December 1, 2007 when voting will commence and the winner will be chosen by you. Sadly, because it would just be skewed, my husband cannot win although I think he'd be a shoe in. On December 15, 2007 the winner will be announced.

We have some great husbands already nominated, but I know there are more out there. So start nominating! Tell me about your husband and why you think he is the Best Husband in the World! That would be world . . . ladies, no geographic boundaries.

Of course you weren't set up; it just kind of worked out as if you were, right?

HAHAHAA! We can't win, can we?

Maybe next time you could tell her it's spelled "chocolate." :D

I guess we can't do multiple things at the same time all day long huh? :p. Just most of the time.

This left me scratching my head. Sadly, as I scrolled down the comments, I find I'm the only one that didn't get it. Maybe it's my lack of mom-ness. Or my lack of folding-egg-whites-into-cake-batter experience. Sigh sigh sigh.

Explain?

Tess was equating "Mom" with "no," I assume because she hears that come out of my mouth so often. It wasn't one of my prouder moments...
